I'm not a fan of fairy tales. Not in films, not in books, not in art. However, there is a certain magic in Tim Walker's photographs that keeps me looking at his website for ages. The colours, the details, the atmosphere, the models, the giant props and finally the narrative. It all appears to me so unique and almost fragile. Having seen some of his work in his (very big and heavy) book Pictures was a great experience but what I am really looking forward to is seeing his Story Teller exhibition at Somerset House next week. I've heard that some of the giant props from his photo shoots are included in this exhibition so it will be like walking through the fairy tale as well as seeing it in photographs.
