Inspired by the photographs of Jean Shrimpton in New York in 1962 shot by David Bailey, last year I have done a project where I have photographed a friend of mine in a town centre carrying a teddy bear in her hands. It was a cold 31st November morning and I admired her for wearing just this tiny dress out. I just wish we have shot more than one roll of film.
I'm posting this because this year I am doing a very similar project. Last friday I have done a test shoot with a beautiful and unbelievably kind model who has brought the 40s/50s glamour to the images which is something that I was just looking for to convey the theme of nostalgia. We have had a good afternoon shooting in the town centre and even a bit of rain and hail wasn't enough to stop us. I'm going to the dark room on tuesday to see what great shots we have done but I won't be showing them on here until January, so for the time being, here's the pictures from last year.
