As the module deadline at uni is slowly approaching, I thought that I should start releasing the pictures that I have taken for my Figure Studies project. Starting from the very beginning, here are pictures I took of Harriet, back in October. It was the first test shoot where I wanted to try out different poses and lighting. Inspired by Rineke Dijkstra's Beach Portraits, I only unrolled the backdrop so it just touched the floor level which meant that the floor was in the frame too. Whilst the blue carpet wasn't the best looking part of the background, it was all that I could work with at the uni studio. I found the test shoot with Harriet to be quite successful as it gave me ideas for further development.
