Whilst looking through some pictures on my laptop this morning and having a general clear out, I have came across a folder with some Instagram pictures. I was always quite against mobile 'photography'. I just don't think it is creative in any way and the crap quality of some mobile cameras just make my eyes hurt. But then I heard of Instagram and after giving it a go myself, I have really quite enjoyed it, mainly because of the square format of the picture and the funky filters. It's certainly a great fun and a very quick way of recording the surroundings. However, I think that it is still very important to keep the composition appropriate, just as if the picture was taken with an actual camera.
Not having a device that has got Instagram on anymore, I do quite miss all the fun of snapping and adding filters. So this is why I am posting some of my favourite Instagram memories taken in the first months of 2012.

These pictures are so beautiful. I'm a bit obsessed with Instagram at the moment. Probably because it's not 'real' photography but just a bit of fun. Also, might be a bit cheeky, but I solve the quality of my phone's camera by using pics shot on my digital SLR :P
